TRAVELER Publications and Château Camou Mexican winery have teamed up to produce a new Dine-n-Wine video series to promote Mexico’s top chefs and the restaurants where they work.
In the videos, which will be released weekly, the chefs demonstrate how the preparation of dishes can be made at home and paired with the wines of Château Camou.
“With the forcible closing of so many restaurants and having to suspend visits to the winery due to the pandemic, we sought a way to maintain our presence among consumers, as well as highlight the talent and creativity of Mexican chefs,” said Fernando Favela Vara, CEO of Château Camou.
The videos produced so far have featured chefs Aquiles Chávez of Sotero and La Fisheria, Patrick Cros of La Casa de los Murmullos, Javier Plascencia of Finca Altozano, Jazamango and Misión 19, Guy Santoro of Amara, Poncho Hernández of Sal de Nayar, Sergio Turriza of Hotel Presidente Intercontinental in Cozumel, Miguel Ángel Guerrero of BajaMed Cocina, among many more to come.
“We are very happy to support the most important industry for tourism in Mexico, said Mayté Rodríguez Cedillo, editor-in-chief of TRAVELER Publications. “We are all going through a difficult time and today is when we must unite and support one another.” TRAVELER Publications has been featuring the best destinations in the world for more than 20 years, via its BajaTraveler®, MexicoTraveler® and WorldTraveler® magazines.
“This is something we can do to support our country’s restaurants, which are the most important showcase for Mexican wines,” said Fernando Favela Vara, CEO of Château Camou.
At this time, Château Camou wines can only be purchased in Mexico via Tintos Nueva Era, Vid Mexicana, Supermercados Calimax, Supermercados Al Super, Costco Mexico and Favela noted that the winery is receiving guests by appointment only and in groups of no more than four people as they are following the health and safety guidelines necessary.
The ongoing Dine-n-Wine series can be viewed on YouTube and Instagram and will feature a different chef and restaurant in each episode.
If you would like to visit Château Camou winery, the border is open for crossing from the U.S. into Mexico, however only U.S. citizens and those with a resident visa can return to the U.S. with a passport or U.S. citizenship identification.
