“Since I lived in Mexico for the past 31/2 years,I have met many people. However, the most amazing and inspiring person I have met was Ora Anekananda Hernandez. Since her husband passed away, she has dedicated her life to helping feed the senior citizens of San Fernando. She would prepare meals at her home and feed approximately 250 seniors once a month. She would raise money thru her cooking classes and garage sales to get money for food. She had arranged for Costco to give her food that was near expiration. All 250 dishes, cups, bowls, silverware, some pots and pans would be hand washed by her after feeding 250 seniors. It is a lot of work for a petite 73 year old Asian women. She is my Mother Theresa.” Ora was nominated by Richard Jacek.
