I finally had the honor of meeting Eduardo Chaillo at this year’s Tianguis (in Puerto Vallarta). Although we’re already friends through social media channels, it’s not the same as finally meeting someone (albeit brief) in person.

So I am excited to announce that our friend, Mr. Eduardo Chaillo, executive director of meetings for the Mexico Tourism Board, was named one of the 25 Most Influential People in the Meetings Industry by SuccessfulMeetings.com.

Last December, Chaillo was awarded the Profile and Power Award by the Joint Meetings Industry Council.

The award, which recognizes individuals and organizations that have made “significant contributions” to advancing the awareness and influence of the meetings industry in their respective communities, was bestowed upon Chaillo because of his leadership in conducting a comprehensive economic impact study of Mexico’s meetings industry.
