Mexican soccer legends Ramón Ramírez and Ramón Morales together with Volkswagen, are encouraging soccer fans to create and upload their own “FAN” videos documenting their passion for soccer.

And they’re giving one of you a signed jersey for your effort!

Fans can upload videos to the Volkswagen Facebook fan page at www.facebook.com/vw where a lucky winner will be featured in a national TV spot set to air during Univision’s broadcast of the 2010 FIFA World Cup.

Directions to Upload your Fan video (to win a spot in a Volkswagen TV commercial). Record it online or upload it here www.facebook.com/vw. Get your friends to watch and vote.  When VW picks the winning video, the author of it will get the chance to appear in a Volkswagen TV commercial airing during the World Cup Championship.

After you’ve submitted your video (to win a Mexico soccer jersey autographed by Ramón Ramírez), make a comment at the end of this post to say ‘I’ve entered!’ and your name/email will be entered to win the signed jersey. The contest ends Wednesday, June 30. The Mexico Report will announce the winner of the signed jersey on Friday, July 2.

About Ramón Ramírez
Ramón Ramírez, born 1969, has been recognized as one of the best players in the history of Mexican soccer.  He played for the most popular teams in Mexico and made 121 appearances for the Mexican National Team, scoring 15 times. Ramon participated in the 1994 and 1998 World Cups, and retired from Chivas USA in 2007 having led on the field as team captain. During a distinguished 10-year career (1991-2000) with ‘El Tri’, Ramirez represented Mexico in two World Cups and three Copa America tournaments, as well as four CONCACAF Gold Cups.

About Ramón Morales
Ramón Morales, born 1975, is regarded as one of Mexico’s most outstanding and skillful attacking left midfielders, with explosive speed, dribbling, fast attacking abilities and a powerful left foot that makes him one of the best midrange free kick shooters in Mexico. Ramón was a key figure for Chivas de Guadalajara, one of Mexico’s most beloved premier league teams, serving as the team Captain for the 2007 season. Morales played with the Mexican Squad at the 2002 FIFA World Cup in Korea-Japan, where he appeared in four matches. He also played in the 2004 Copa America and in the 2005 Confederations Cup.  Then again in 2006, he was summoned by “El Tri” to appear in three matches in the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
