Day of the Dead Comes Alive at Viceroy Zihuatanejo with Food, Art and Dancing

Zihuatanejo, Mexico – September 28, 2015: Viceroy Zihuatanejo will celebrate The Day of the Dead with a program of art, dancing and food to remember and honor our ancestors.

El Día de los Muertos is a celebration in Mexico, not a time of sadness. The Day of the Dead is a colorful and exuberantly festive national holiday when the Mexican people remember and celebrate the lives of their passed family members. The roots of the holiday go back millennia. The Spanish tried to eradicate it but it was more powerful than the conquistadors. And this chic resort on the Pacific is continuing the tradition by partnering with a local art gallery, GALART, to offer a special The Day of the Dead Program Oct. 31-Nov. 2, 2015.
