Company Reinforces Status as Leading Provider of Luxury All-Inclusive Experiences to North American Travelers

Apple Leisure Group® subsidiary, AMResorts®, announced today that the company’s resort brand management portfolio now extends to 60 properties after signing multiple hotels over the past seven months. The new deals represent a 10 percent portfolio growth for AMResorts, and propels its brand presence past the 20,000-room benchmark – a goal that was originally set for 2018, but achieved two years ahead of time.

“By focusing on growth in established markets and seizing opportunities to expand into new destinations, Apple Leisure Group’s resort product footprint is now stronger and broader than ever,” said Alex Zozaya, CEO of Apple Leisure Group. “Reaching the 60th resort milestone is a testament to our ability to optimize resort performance and stay ahead of the curve by anticipating where travelers want to be.”

Founded in 2001, AMResorts is celebrating 15 years as North America’s fastest growing luxury leisure resort company. By the end of 2016, it will open 10 new resorts across its six brands, Zoëtry® Wellness & Spa Resorts, and Secrets®, Breathless®, Dreams®, Now® and Sunscape® Resorts & Spas.

In June, the company announced the signing of Zoëtry® Chamela Costalegre MexicoLocated just 90 miles south of Puerto Vallarta, the 120-room new-build will be the first resort under AMResorts’ brand management in the high-end vacation destination of Chamela Bay, Mexico.
