A PEACEful Night in Mexico
On Saturday, January 15, 2011, PEACE (an acronym for Protection, Education, Animals, Culture, Environment) will hold their 2nd Annual Gala Fundraiser, “ArteVida’ at a spectacular private home in Riviera Nayarit, Casa Las Gaviotas inside El Farallon. Casa Gaviotas was designed by Guadalajaran architect, Juan Manuel Munguía Romo.
“The ArteVida event is a beautiful way to combine those artist with our amazing donors in an effort to raise funds for PEACE,” said founder-creator Molly Fisher.
Catered by Punta Mita based NAEF Cuisine, the evening will include a live art auction, a silent auction, live music and local and national artists who will be on hand to share information about their art and mingle with guests.
A dedicated blog site has been created to keep everyone updated on the artists that are participating, details of the event, fun facts about PEACE and how these types of events help us as an organization.
“Funds raised by the event and the live art auction will be used for our incredibly impactful programs in the surrounding local communities,” said Fisher. “Some of the programs include after school programs, the literacy and dance program as well as our alternative education program for children and adults alike. We are indebted to our amazing volunteers, artists and donors who work so hard to keep PEACE moving forward with our important work.”
