Hello! I love your site. Do you happen to have a list of organizations that are registered AC in Mexico and as a 501c3 in the US? I’d like to work for one in Mexico while continuing my participation in a US gov’t student loan repayment program. Thanks in advance!
    Saludos,
    Emmy

I would add Reinserta un Mexicano, they have been making a huge difference in the safety of Mexico in the past years.

I’ve noticed that the Angel Notion non profit from Playa del Carmen is still listed on your list and they haven’t been active for 5 years. When I clicked on the link it took me to a page of Chinese.

How do we get our non profit on your list. It’s the KKIS Project (kkisproject.org) in Playa del Carmen. We are a registered AC in Mexico and a 501c3 in the US.

Hi Irene, although I’m not familiar with any grant writers, I think you’d have luck searching online or using Google. Perhaps you can find a few groups on Facebook to post your question. I have a group called Mexico Travel Writers with more than 1500 members on Facebook and you’re more than welcome to post your question there. Good luck!

    Hi,
How do I know that a charity is genuine? Are there numbers to support what percentage of revenue goes to the cause, v. “expenses”?

Thanks! I like to donate to many causes, but I also don’t want to support scammery.

    : )

Hi – I have worked with or know most of these non-profits (some are sent to us for inclusion), but I would recommend if you are interested in one that you contact them directly to create a relationship. This way, you can see if it is a fit for you and your volunteer goals.
