The MEXICO Report
By Susie Albin-Najera
These are not the headline news you see these days about Mexico, but you should.
A very good friend of mine who lives in Connecticut with her husband and their two young boys had not been to Mexico in years.
They decided to go again and booked their well-earned vacation to Riviera Maya, Mexico.
Her friends warned her not to go, they opposed the idea, they oo’d and ah’d.
My friend and her family flew into Cancun last week. They had no problem.
They rented a car. They had no problem.
They stayed at the Ritz Carlton. It was safe, gorgeous, squeaky clean.
They wanted adventure. They visited Tulum, the breathtaking archeological ruins overlooking the stunning turquoise waters.
They took a boat to Isla Mujeres. They fell completely in love.
They went swimming with dolphins. Their kids had the experience of their life.
They went to Playa del Carmen. It was bustling with happy people and lots of good shopping and restaurants.
They went to Mexico – and had a safe and wonderful vacation.
In the words of my friend, she “had no fear whatsoever, not even for a millisecond.”
hello i am a follower of your blog, i also have blog , with my own postings and i share yours as well.
I too have many experiences that were very positive in Merida and Cancun!!!We spent a whole month in Merida among the people of the REAL Mexico!!Then we travelled to Cancun for an amazing week! We too had American friends who thought we would never return due to being kidnapped or killed!! At this point, we only crave to return to the warm, loving, friendly people we know in Merida MX.!!! Glad to hear a good story;I think we all should share our positive times!!
Thanks for the note Dianne! I find that these good experiences just need to be shared more. I appreciate you taking the time to comment. Cheers.
