The MEXICO Report
By Susie Albin-Najera
If it’s one thing I love, it’s sharing other people’s love of Mexico. And I have been lucky to connect with some wonderful people who appreciate the culture and beauty of Mexico and share the passion just as much as I do.
One of those people is Betsy McNair, a resident of Santa Cruz, California who operates ‘My Mexico Tours’. She leads cultural, folk art and culinary tours to Mexico.
One of her upcoming tours caught my attention, which I wanted to share with you, called “Monarchs and La Maestra”, taking place March 4-13, 2011 in Michoacán, Mexico.
Here is how she begins to describe the tour:
“I really mean this: I love every single My Mexico Tour I do. But….I have to say that this one just might be the perfect tour, encompassing as it does the charms of city, small town, and village life as well as two of the most impressive forces of nature I know: Diana Kennedy and the yearly migration of the monarch butterfly. Add to that a stunning backdrop of one of central Mexico’s most beautiful states, unique culinary offerings, many of Mexico’s finest folk and fine artists, and a roster of friends who can’t wait to meet you, and well, it’s “The Perfect Storm” of a tour in a very, very good way.”

Betsy mentioned that there are only a few spaces left, so if you are considering jumping on board, it’s recommended to do it now.
