Up until eight years ago, I had never stayed in an all-inclusive hotel. Then we had kids and everything changed.  We booked our first all-inclusive online to Puerto Vallarta not knowing what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised. Many offer incredible buffets which makes it more than perfect when your kids can’t wait. And let’s face it, I have a big appetite too. My first thought with a buffet was that I was going to overeat, but the choices made it easy for me to eat healthy and to eat foods I normally don’t get a chance to eat. We actually ate the best we ever had, meaning, we ate at regimented times and didn’t skip meals. We gave our bodies the food and nourishment it needed and actually lost weight. But you don’t have to have kids to enjoy an all-inclusive. Many adult-friendly small boutiques offer all-inclusive options as well.

I haven’t visited any of the hotels above, but my friend, her husband and three kids raved about Club Med Ixtapa. I suppose these will all go on my list though.

Do you have a favorite all-inclusive hotel in Mexico?
