Last week I had the opportunity to visit beautiful Puerto Vallarta and it’s luxury neighbor to the north, Riviera Nayarit. In a nutshell, what I saw was a full airport, high hotel occupancies, perfect 80 degree weather, whales in the bay and people truly enjoying themselves on the beach and in town. It was a great sight to see especially since I have so many fond memories of this destination growing up.
There is still time to book ideal family spring vacations here as well. Most of the hotels and resorts in this destination offer family-friendly options (with the exception of a few adult-only hotels) with special amenities, kids clubs, programs and pools, plus with the all-inclusive, 24-hour room service options, it makes it that much easier to save on family travel. The activities alone in these destinations are plentiful and the whales are out there in the bay as I write. I was lucky enough to see several last week, babies and a male breaching (spectacular sight to see).
