Mom, Mimosas and Mexico at Grand Hyatt Playa del Carmen Resort

The Grand Hyatt Playa del Carmen Resort is celebrating moms this Mother’s Day on Sunday, May 14th and offering special on-site activities for families in addition to 20% off rooms and 25% off treatments at the Cenote Spa.


The resort will be offering a complimentary special breakfast menu for Mom at and a special mimosa bar starting at 12PM at La Cocina on both days. While mom eats and drinks for free, family members can join her for $27 for the special breakfast menu and $15 for the mimosa bar. 

Additionally, the resort will offer moms complimentary access to the Full Moon Dinner on May 10th. With a set-up located on the beautiful Playa Mamitas, diners will have a front row seat to the glistening moon over the Mexican Caribbean Sea while they enjoy a delectable menu designed by Chef Corey Collins and his team from The Grill at 1 26. The Full Moon Dinner costs $47 for all non-moms.

Over at the Cenote Spa, the award-winning spa is offering an additional promotion that gifts spagoers a $50 credit for any 60- or 90-treament booked. The Cenote Spa is a true wellness sanctuary, inspired by the mystical underground lagoons that are considered energy centers whose waters contain high concentrations of minerals and nutrients that provide healing benefits to whoever enters them. First is “Yoga with Mom” offered both Sunday, May 14th at 11AM, where moms and children will be able to live a moment of relaxation and low impact exercise together during a Vinyasa-style yoga classes are truly magical and motivating and are sure to bring them closer together.

Later in the afternoon, they can take a break from the pool or beach to make personalized “DIY” natural foot scrubs together at Camp Hyatt Tortuguita, also available on both Mother’s Days, at 4PM. Moms and children can select from a variety of sugars and essential oils to customize the scrub aroma according to their preferences. This is a great opportunity for little guests to make a homemade gift for mom to use on those days when she needs a little extra pampering.
