¡LATIN FOOD FEST! (www.latinfoodfest.com) has announced a six-city tour for its Latin culinary festival that will pay homage to the top emerging Hispanic culinary regions the U.S. and showcase award-winning celebrity chefs, restaurants, food and beverage purveyors that make these destinations so significant. Kicking off in San Diego September 12 – 15, 2013, the Fest is also planned for New Orleans, Austin, Portland, Nashville and New York.

The 2013 Fest will feature an unprecedented roster of culinary talent including Mexican chefs Javier Plascencia, Miguel Angel Guerrero, Pablo Salas, Martin Vargas, Roberto Alcocer, and  nearly 10 others Mexican nationals, plus American chefs with Mexican heritage such as Aarón Sánchez (star of Food Network’s Chopped and Heat Seakers), Chef LaLa, Martin Gonzalez, Isabel Cruz, Chef Giovanni (Televisa XEWT), James Tahhan (Telemundo national host/chef) and more.

LATIN FOOD FEST! will transform downtown San Diego – from PETCO Park to The San Diego Wine & Culinary Event Center to aboard a stunning 142’ private yacht – to educate palates and entertain more than 6,000 patrons at 20 events, in high style.

Schedule of events include an Opening Party, Ultra-Premium Tequila and Rare Wine Tasting parties, Educational Seminars, Cocktail Parties, Friends of James Beard Baja-Med Dinner Benefit, Chef Demonstrations on the Celebrity Cooking Stage, Live and Silent Auctions; Culinary Tasting Event, and Wine Reception, Live Auction and Chef’s Brunch and Baja Beer Pavilion with 10 Baja brewers, the first of its kind in the U.S.

¡LATIN FOOD FEST! San Diego has partnered with The Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank to help eradicate hunger in San Diego and has discounted the vendor fee, which will go directly to host the Chefs at the Park event. The Fest is also collaborating with The James Beard Foundation.
