Katherine Fisher has joined Sagrada Wellness Mexico as Wellness, Yoga and Retreat Coordinator. Her new responsibilities will include coordinating and managing yoga and wellness vacations as well as incorporating local volunteer activities for guests. Sagrada Wellness Mexico, located in the picturesque mountains of San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato, Mexico is an all-inclusive, luxury boutique resort specializing in yoga and Pilates retreats and restorative vacations in Mexico.
“We are very excited about Katherine’s arrival,” said owner Blair Shurtleff. “With her wonderful and vibrant energy, she will make an excellent addition to our Sagrada family.”
Influenced by Bikram style, Fisher knew from the moment she participated in her first yoga class in 1999, that this healthy and peaceful activity would transform her world. She has been a seasoned Yogi ever since.
Katherine is a certified E-RYT (experienced-registered yoga teacher) and has been guiding a variety of yoga classes since 2008. Vinyasa, power yoga, gentle yoga, restorative yoga, body sculpt and core flow are just a few classes she incorporates. Katherine has also created a new boot camp program for guests who want a more vigorous workout vacation. Her gentle, yet active and energetic guidance is created for all levels, all ages and includes intimate instruction as well as hands-on teaching.
With a degree in recreation and an emphasis in tourism management, Fisher also runs a Mexico voluntourism company, Destination:PEACE, and has incorporated yoga and wellness along with travel and volunteer work.
Fisher’s responsibilities with Sagrada will also include social media outreach and managing its new ‘Daycation’ program where local residents or visitors of San Miguel de Allende can take advantage of its facilities for a day, whether it be for enjoying a meal, participating in yoga or walk or just meandering through the beautiful botanical gardens.
New yoga and restorative and boot camp retreats taught by Fisher are offered in Sagrada’s yoga pavilion, overlooking the breathtaking Rio Laja Valley and exotic botanical cactus gardens.
Sagrada’s signature retreats include a nurturing blend of yoga classes, from Vinyasa to restorative where guests will feel a deeper sense of connectedness to oneself and the surrounding nature.
