Condé Nast Traveler has recognized Hotel Matilda as the #1 hotel in Mexico in the iconic magazine’s 29th annual Readers’ Choice Awards.
“From the beginning in 2010, Hotel Matilda has been committed to creating a dynamic and vivacious guest experience unlike any other in Mexico,” said Bruce James, Director of Hotel Matilda, which is located in the heart of 500-year-old San Miguel de Allende, the crown jewel of Colonial Mexico and an UNESCO World Heritage Site.
“We turned up the volume, not just in San Miguel but in the Mexican hotel scene,” he explained, “by evolving Hotel Matilda into a lively cultural and culinary hub celebrated for immersing guests in an exciting and innovative contemporary lifestyle.”
Over 300,000 readers of Condé Nast Traveler – nearly twice as many as last year – cast votes in the 2016 Readers’ Choice Awards.
