Once in a while, travel companies send me products to review and although I don’t do it too often, this was a great opportunity to feature a company that, with each purchase, gives back.

Knowing this, I was happy to support Fleeps with a review. Were they useful? Sturdy? Fashionable? Comfortable? Worth the price?

Fleeps are rubber sandals, similar to flip flops but slightly more upscale and come in 14 standard colors and dozens of customizable combinations. Sizes range from 5 to 11.5. They have an adjustable cross-ankle strap, smooth-finish toe thong and a lightweight sole.

Each pair retails for $38, which may seem a little steep, but a contribution is made to the FLEEPS Foundation with every purchase. Funds are distributed to their partner organizations who work to provide education and opportunities for young girls.

Being an active traveler, these came in handy this summer. I wore them in a versatile gold color, in size 6, they paired perfectly with skirts, pants, shorts and dresses. They are comfortable, fashionable, lightweight, easy to slip on.

And right now, Fleeps is offering 20 percent off.
