You had me at Pineda Covalin. Then at Chef Javier Plascencia. Then benefit — all rolled into one spectacular event in Baja’s ultra chic and gorgeous Wine Country, Valle de Guadalupe, coming Saturday, August 2, 2014.

It’s no secret how much I love the most innovative and beautiful designers in Mexico, Pineda Covalin. (But maybe it IS my secret fantasy to walk a runway in Pineda Covalin designs, with the wind blowing through my hair, but I digress.) 

But when I heard recently that these designers, along with food stations prepared by celebrity Chef Javier Plascencia, wines from Valle de Guadalupe, music and art were being served up to benefit a great cause, it was something I felt strongly about helping to promote. The Mexico Report will be there to support and we highly encourage you to attend as well as 20% of proceeds to go Unidos Para Ayudar and Corazon de Vida Foundation.

 A note in Spanish from the organizer about the upcoming Fundraiser August 2, 2014 in Valle de Guadalupe:

* TRANSPORTE GRATUITO que saldra a las 5pm de CEARTE, directo a La Carrodilla. Previa Reservación requerida.

*Copa de bienvenida con la que podras probar 3 muestras de vino de las vinicolas participantes.

*Muestra de maridaje donada por Javier Plasencia, Finca Altozano. Si más tarde lo deseas podrás adquirir deliciosos platillos que estarán disponibles a la venta.

*Muestras de quesos de la región.

*Muestras de mejillones de cultivo de la mejor calidad.

*Musica en vivo con “Las Ovejas Negras”

*Muestra de Arte de la fabulosa pintora Tijuanense Gloria Muriel.

*PUNTO DE VENTA DE PINEDA COVALIN, en exclusiva, debo agregar que el 20% de la venta será generosamente donado por la empresa a la asociación UPAs para ayudar a las dos instituciones.

*El placer de ver a Aida Guevara danzar para nosotros con su performance prehispanico.

*Conocer la obra maravillosa que llevan a cabo la fundación CORAZON DE VIDA y el ALBERGUE SAN VICENTE, en boca de sus fundadores, que trabajan incansablemente por dar mejores seres humanos a nuestra comunidad.
