ORANGE COUNTY – Today Corazon de Vida Foundation, a U.S.-based, 501c(3) non-profit organization serving the children of Baja California announced the newest member to its Board of Advisors, Darren Sugiyama.
“We are excited to have Darren accept our invitation to sit on our Board of Advisors. He’s a successful entrepreneur, but also has a heart of philanthropy,” said founder of Corazon de Vida, Hilda Pacheco-Taylor.
Corazon de Vida, founded in 1994, provides much-needed funding for food, water and utilities, as well as supplies, healthcare and educational opportunities to 14 different orphanages in Baja California, from Tijuana to Ensenada. Monthly trips are arranged to the homes in Mexico from Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego for those who are interested in volunteering and having the opportunity to bring food, fun, love and cheer to the kids.
Sugiyama is currently the CEO of DaVinci Financial & Insurance Associates, a wealth management firm based in Irvine, California, and has worked with multi-million and billion dollar insurance companies as a branding and marketing consultant. In addition to his entrepreneurial successes, Darren Sugiyama is also an acclaimed author of four published books, including How I Built A $37 Million Insurance Agency In Less Than 7 Years, Living Outside The Cubicle, The 6-Figure Retirement, and The Icon Effect – How The Right Mentor Can Change The Course Of Your Life, Forever. Sugiyama will provide his marketing expertise, as well as his financial wisdom to Corazon de Vida, and is expected to play a major role in the expansion of the foundation.
Founded by Hilda Pacheco-Taylor, former resident of one of the same orphanage her foundation now funds, Corazon de Vida is celebrating its 20-year anniversary this year in 2014. For more information about Corazon de Vida Foundation, visit www.corazondevida.org.
