“I was born in the U.S. but my heart belongs to Mexico” – Eva Longoria Parker

Not only is actress Eva Longoria Parker of Mexican descent, she is the epitome of beauty and talent, and extremely involved in giving back to the community, affiliated with dozens of non profits and charitable organizations, with the majority focused on the Latino community.

Near and dear to her heart, Eva founded Eva’s Heroes, an organization dedicated to enriching the lives of those with intellectual special needs by providing an inclusive setting built on four tenets – interact, grow, learn and love. Based in San Antonio, TX, the organization helps teens and young adults with special needs to integrate and flourish in society. Inspired by her sister, who was born with an intellectual disability and her mother who became a special education teacher because of it, Eva has been involved in all facets of this disability since she could walk and talk.
